Born to Compete is a coming of age movie in which the children (Tony, Joey & Dominique) of two martial arts grand masters (Danny & Theresa Zaino) decide that they want to be something more than average martial arts athletes and set their sights on a prize that many don't think they can win. After their team mates defect to join another team they then set out to reach this goal as a family.

Their parents work as their coaches and help them stay focused and prevent them from losing sight of their goals. As a martial arts team the ultimate achievement is to win at the World Demonstration Team Championships held in Korea. Watch as this young team works day and night for a full year to reach their dream facing off against the top martial arts teams in the world.
